The 99.36 FLR is the third generation of the famous 99-Series from XTZ. All of its predecessors have gained great reputations due to the outstanding value they represent in this price range given the incomparable quality of the drivers which are used. The Fountek Tweeter is one of the best available on the market and the mid-bass and bass drivers originate from the Norwegian manufacturers SEAS. These drivers, combined with the excellent finish of the cabinet and the multiple sound tuning capabilities offered (using the supplied plugs for the bass reflex tubes and the jumpers on the back), make the 99.36 FLR an absolutely unique speaker.

The 99.36 is a three way construction with internal crossover filter. The cabinet is built using a narrow front – not only an aesthetically neat shape, but also an advantage from an acoustic point of view as it provides a stable construction to keep resonances to a minimum. The midrange and woofers use separate chambers. This way, we have been able to optimize the chamber volumes for the midrange and bass drivers. Also, the midrange driver can operate without any interference from the woofer.

Ribbon Tweeter

The 99 Series Ribbon Tweeter boasts a super thin 18-micron ribbon cone and powerful neodymium magnet, delivering superior transient response and flat frequency response. Its high-efficiency neodymium magnet system and aluminum fish-bone contactors ensure low resistance connection and efficient heat dissipation. With CNC machined aluminum front plate and durability to handle frequencies up to 40,000 Hz, it offers exceptional performance and reliability for high-fidelity audio systems.

Midrange / Woofer Driver

The SEAS 6.5″ Midbass driver, paired with the tweeter, features high-purity, die-cast magnesium cones known for their precision and low distortion. Each cone is individually machined for maximum precision, ensuring accurate sound reproduction with reduced resonances. With a rubber surround and non-magnetic metal basket, it offers acoustically transparent performance and high efficiency for exceptional audio quality.
